While we support our neighbors through repairs and replacements, the team of Cleaning for a Reason helps women clean their castles regularly. Cleaning for a Reason is an organization that offers free housecleaning services to women who have breast cancer and do not have the funds to have a clean home. The story of how this organization came to be is amazing. President and Founder, Debbie Sardone, is also the owner of a maid service called Buckets & Bows Maid Service. Several years ago, she got a call from a client who told her she could no longer pay for her services because she was going through cancer treatment and she did not have the money, then she hung up. Debbie tried to call her back but did not have her information. From then on, she never wanted a women to have to have this problem again, so she created the organization Cleaning for a Reason. She vowed to never deny a women cleaning services if they are going through cancer treatment. She offers free cleaning services for women going through cancer.
Once she began the organization and the word had gotten out, other maid services began to reach out and offer their services to these women as well. Since she began this non-profit, Cleaning For A Reason has helped women with cancer receive the gift of over $3.7 million dollars worth of free house cleaning from approximately 1,000 maid service partners.
