Protect Your Aurora Home from Hard Water

Aurora’s tap water is hard — noticeably so. If you’re seeing white scale on your faucets and showerheads, feeling like your soap never quite lathers, or replacing water heaters and appliances more often than you’d expect, hard water is likely the cause. A whole-home water softener removes the excess calcium and magnesium before the water reaches your pipes and fixtures, extending the life of your plumbing and making everyday tasks like showering and doing laundry noticeably better.

Done Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric installs and services whole-home water softeners sized for your household. We’ll assess your water hardness, recommend an appropriately sized system, and handle the installation and plumbing connections ourselves — you won’t need to coordinate a separate plumber. A water softener works especially well alongside a new Aurora water heater, since softened water significantly reduces sediment accumulation inside the tank.

For all your plumbing needs beyond water quality, our Aurora plumbing team handles repairs, replacements, and new installations. Soft water is one of the most cost-effective long-term investments an Aurora homeowner can make for their plumbing system.

  • Whole-Home Softening Treats every water line in your home, not just one faucet.
  • Water Hardness Testing We assess your water first so the system is properly sized for your home.
  • Install and Ongoing Service Full installation plus maintenance to keep your softener running well.

About our work in Aurora

Local knowledge, local response

Done! Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric has kept Aurora and Arapahoe County homes comfortable since 1999, with licensed plumbers, HVAC techs, and electricians on call across the East Metro. One call covers heating, cooling, plumbing, drains, electrical, and water quality — and our crews answer 24/7 when something fails after hours.

We work in neighborhoods like Hoffman Heights, Del Mar Park, Mission Viejo, and Saddle Rock and know the area around Stanley Marketplace, the Aurora Reservoir, and Southlands. Local homes run to a mix of mid-century homes west of I-225 and newer subdivisions toward Southlands and Saddle Rock, so we size repairs and replacements to what Aurora actually has.

Aurora sees hot, dry summers and cold, snowy winters that push heating and cooling systems hard, which is hard on furnaces, AC systems, and water heaters. We tune, repair, and replace them before a Colorado cold snap or a July heat wave turns a small problem into an emergency.

Had an excellent experience with It's Done Plumbing and Jake the technician. He showed up early, gave me an accurate estimate and finished the job to my complete satisfaction. Will definitely use their services again.

9/08/21 Had another plumbing issue and call Done again. Superb service. Caleb and Dalton did a terrific job. Fast, thorough, clean and helpful. I won't even consider calling anyone else.

2/7/23 Jaered from Done came and cleared a slow basement drain. Quick, professional and left no mess. Done is the only plumbing service I use. Always satisfied.

3/1/24 I was considering having a tankless hot water system installed. I reached out to Done! to see about an estimate. The price was higher than I can afford right now. The price is in line with what others are charging. I didn't have any ideas going in, so this is not a knock on Done! Tankless systems are expensive. I never felt any pressure from the tech. He was professional and courteous.

4/21/26 Decided to have a preemptive cable clean out due to some roots from a holly plant. We weren't having an issue, just decided to stay ahead of it. Jason was quick, courteous and efficient. A good experience.

We contacted Done Plumbing after our water heater broke. They didn’t have availability until the next day but still managed to get up on the schedule within hours! Terry arrived and was very thorough with his work he not only looked at the direct problem but also things that could have cause it. He didn’t just tell us what was wrong but showed us as well. He was very transparent with pricing options and options for a new water heater and even gave us estimates for future work that will help prevent this from happening again. He was very understanding about our request for boot covers due to allergies and even offered to wear gloves and a full coveralls which we greatly appreciated! He worked hard and efficiently and was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Very friendly! As unfortunate as it was to have it break he made it a better experience and fully replaced it same day! We could not have asked for a better experience! Thank you so much Terry and the Done Plumbing team! Ya’ll are wonderful!

A very experienced, professional and skilled team of Caedon, Tyler, James and Eli re-wired the main floor of our 100+ year old home when a small electrical fire was found during a diagnostic visit meant to trouble shoot a malfunctioning bedroom ceiling light.

The team was extremely thorough and corrected several wiring errors that had been done over the past 100 years - some due to code changes and some due to shoddy, cutting-corners-work done on a 10 year old remodel. The project took two days, and included breaker panel additions, discovering buried outlets, and eliminating live sections of wire no longer being used. The team cleaned up the work space every day and patched wall areas that were cut in an attempt to locate buried outlets. With every discovery, the situation was explained in depth and at the level where we could understand the issue.

We have used Done for large plumbing, and now, large electrical work and have been 1000% satisfied with every interaction.
