Frequently Asked Questions
Why won't my smart switches work in my older home?
Most smart switches and dimmers require a neutral wire to function. Homes wired before the 1980s and even many built later used switch loops that don’t include a neutral. Done can add the neutral wire needed — in many cases without opening walls — so your smart switches work correctly.
What does whole-home surge protection actually do?
A whole-home surge protector installs at your main electrical panel and absorbs voltage spikes before they travel to your circuits and devices. It protects everything in your home simultaneously — not just what’s plugged into a specific power strip. This includes your HVAC system, appliances, and electronics.
How often should I have an electrical safety inspection?
