Do I need a permit to install an EV charger at home?
Yes, in most Denver-area jurisdictions a permit is required for new circuit work, including EV charger installations. Done pulls the permit and coordinates the inspection for you — it’s included in our process, not an afterthought.
What if my electrical panel can't support a Level 2 charger?
Older panels sometimes don’t have the available capacity for a dedicated 240V circuit. During our on-site assessment we check your load and let you know if an upgrade is needed. We can handle both the panel upgrade and the charger install, so you’re not coordinating two separate contractors.
Can I supply my own EV charger and have Done install it?
Absolutely. If your vehicle came with a charger unit or you’ve already purchased one, we’ll install it. Just let us know the brand and model when you schedule so we can confirm it’s compatible with your home’s wiring requirements.
How long does a home EV charger installation take?
Most installations take between two and four hours once we’re on site. If the panel needs an upgrade or the circuit run is particularly long, it may extend the job. We’ll give you a realistic time estimate during the assessment.
