Ductwork That Delivers Comfort to Every Room

Leaky, poorly designed, or damaged ductwork costs Denver homeowners real money every month. Done's licensed technicians design, repair, seal, and replace duct systems that actually work.

The Hidden Efficiency Drain

Your Ducts May Be Undermining Your HVAC System

Your furnace or air conditioner is only as effective as the duct system delivering conditioned air to each room. Studies from the U.S. Department of Energy suggest that a typical home loses 20 to 30 percent of its conditioned air to duct leaks — paying to heat or cool your attic, crawl space, or wall cavities instead of your living areas. That translates directly to higher utility bills, uneven temperatures, and an HVAC system that runs longer and wears out faster. The frustrating part is that most homeowners never know it’s happening.

Done has been diagnosing and repairing ductwork for Denver metro homes since 1999. Whether your ducts have disconnected joints, crushed flex duct in the attic, undersized trunk lines choking airflow, or simply leaked their way to inefficiency over the years, we find the problem and fix it. Learn more about our full ductwork capabilities or call 833-539-9153 to schedule a duct inspection today.

  • Duct Design and Layout For additions, renovations, or homes with chronic comfort issues, Done designs duct systems using Manual D load calculations to match airflow precisely to each room's needs.
  • Duct Repair and Sealing We locate leaks, disconnected joints, and damaged sections, then seal or repair them with code-compliant materials — not duct tape, which fails within a few years.
  • Full Duct Replacement When repairs no longer make sense, Done removes old, deteriorated ductwork and installs a new system built to last — properly insulated, sealed, and sized for your home.

Warning Signs

Signs Your Ductwork May Have a Problem

Ductwork problems often get misdiagnosed as HVAC equipment failures — leading homeowners to replace perfectly good furnaces or air conditioners when the real issue is in the ducts. These are the signs to watch for.

  • Rooms That Are Always Too Hot or Too Cold

If one bedroom feels like a sauna in summer and an icebox in winter while the rest of the house is comfortable, uneven duct sizing or a disconnected branch line is likely to blame.

  • Utility Bills That Keep Climbing

Leaky ducts force your HVAC system to run longer to meet the thermostat setpoint. If your energy bills are rising without an obvious reason, a duct inspection is a smart first step.

  • Weak Airflow at Registers

Low airflow from one or more registers often indicates a collapsed flex duct section, a disconnected joint, or significant leakage before conditioned air reaches that part of the home.

  • Excessive Dust Accumulation

Leaky return ducts pull unfiltered air from attics and crawl spaces, bypassing your filter entirely and distributing insulation fibers, dust, and debris throughout the home.

Our Ductwork Capabilities

Everything Your Duct System Needs, Done Right

Done handles the full range of residential ductwork — from a single leaking joint to a complete system redesign. Every job uses code-compliant materials and is completed by licensed HVAC technicians.

  • Duct Inspection and Leak Testing We use pressure testing and visual inspection to find leaks, disconnected joints, and airflow restrictions — giving you a clear picture of your duct system's condition before any work begins.
  • Aeroseal Duct Sealing For leaks that are hard to reach, Done offers Aeroseal — a process that injects sealant particles into pressurized ducts so they find and seal leaks from the inside, including tiny cracks and gaps.
  • Duct Redesign for Additions and Remodels Adding a room or finishing a basement? Done designs and installs new duct branches using Manual D load calculations to ensure every new space gets the airflow it needs without starving the rest of the house.
  • Duct Insulation Upgrades Uninsulated or under-insulated ducts in Denver attics lose significant heat in winter and absorb heat in summer. Done re-wraps and seals duct insulation to code so conditioned air arrives at your registers at the right temperature.

Our Process

How Done Diagnoses and Fixes Your Ductwork

We never guess about ductwork. Done uses a methodical inspection-first approach so repairs target the actual problem and you don't pay for work you don't need.

  1. Duct System Inspection

A Done technician inspects accessible ductwork and performs airflow and pressure testing to identify leaks, blockages, disconnections, and design deficiencies.

  2. Written Assessment and Upfront Pricing

We document what we found, explain it in plain language, and give you upfront pricing before any work begins. No surprises on the invoice.

  3. Repair or Replacement

Done completes the agreed-upon work using code-compliant materials and proper sealing techniques — whether that means patching a single joint or replacing an entire duct system.

  4. Post-Work Verification

After repairs, we re-test airflow and pressure to confirm the problem is solved. You should notice the difference the first time your system runs.

Had an excellent experience with It's Done Plumbing and Jake the technician. He showed up early, gave me an accurate estimate and finished the job to my complete satisfaction. Will definitely use their services again.

9/08/21 Had another plumbing issue and call Done again. Superb service. Caleb and Dalton did a terrific job. Fast, thorough, clean and helpful. I won't even consider calling anyone else.

2/7/23 Jaered from Done came and cleared a slow basement drain. Quick, professional and left no mess. Done is the only plumbing service I use. Always satisfied.

3/1/24 I was considering having a tankless hot water system installed. I reached out to Done! to see about an estimate. The price was higher than I can afford right now. The price is in line with what others are charging. I didn't have any ideas going in, so this is not a knock on Done! Tankless systems are expensive. I never felt any pressure from the tech. He was professional and courteous.

4/21/26 Decided to have a preemptive cable clean out due to some roots from a holly plant. We weren't having an issue, just decided to stay ahead of it. Jason was quick, courteous and efficient. A good experience.

We contacted Done Plumbing after our water heater broke. They didn’t have availability until the next day but still managed to get up on the schedule within hours! Terry arrived and was very thorough with his work he not only looked at the direct problem but also things that could have cause it. He didn’t just tell us what was wrong but showed us as well. He was very transparent with pricing options and options for a new water heater and even gave us estimates for future work that will help prevent this from happening again. He was very understanding about our request for boot covers due to allergies and even offered to wear gloves and a full coveralls which we greatly appreciated! He worked hard and efficiently and was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Very friendly! As unfortunate as it was to have it break he made it a better experience and fully replaced it same day! We could not have asked for a better experience! Thank you so much Terry and the Done Plumbing team! Ya’ll are wonderful!

A very experienced, professional and skilled team of Caedon, Tyler, James and Eli re-wired the main floor of our 100+ year old home when a small electrical fire was found during a diagnostic visit meant to trouble shoot a malfunctioning bedroom ceiling light.

The team was extremely thorough and corrected several wiring errors that had been done over the past 100 years - some due to code changes and some due to shoddy, cutting-corners-work done on a 10 year old remodel. The project took two days, and included breaker panel additions, discovering buried outlets, and eliminating live sections of wire no longer being used. The team cleaned up the work space every day and patched wall areas that were cut in an attempt to locate buried outlets. With every discovery, the situation was explained in depth and at the level where we could understand the issue.

We have used Done for large plumbing, and now, large electrical work and have been 1000% satisfied with every interaction.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my ductwork needs to be replaced or just repaired?

It depends on the system’s age, material, and condition. Sheet metal ducts from the 1980s or earlier are often still functional but may benefit from sealing. Flex duct that’s collapsed, kinked, or disconnected in multiple places may be more cost-effective to replace than to repair section by section. Done’s technicians inspect your system and give you an honest recommendation based on what they find — not on what generates the most revenue.

What is Aeroseal and is it worth it?

Aeroseal is a duct-sealing process where a non-toxic sealant is injected into your pressurized duct system. The particles are carried to leak points by airflow, where they bond and seal gaps from the inside — reaching places a technician’s hands never could. It’s particularly effective for homes with leaky ducts in finished walls or ceilings where manual access is impossible. Done can tell you whether your home is a good candidate after a basic inspection.

Will fixing my ductwork actually lower my energy bills?

In homes with significant duct leakage, the savings can be meaningful. A well-sealed duct system delivers more conditioned air to living spaces and less to unconditioned areas, so your HVAC system runs fewer cycles to maintain your set temperature. Actual savings vary by home, but duct sealing and repair frequently pay for themselves over time through reduced heating and cooling costs. Financing options are available if upfront cost is a concern.

Does Done handle ductwork for new room additions?

Yes. Adding square footage to your home without properly extending your duct system is one of the most common causes of comfort complaints we see. Done designs new duct branches using Manual D load calculations to ensure each new space gets the right amount of airflow without robbing other rooms. We coordinate with your contractor or work independently depending on your project timeline.
