How do I reset a GFCI outlet?

Most GFCI outlets have two buttons: “Test” and “Reset.” If the outlet has tripped, you can usually restore power by pressing the “Reset” button until it clicks. If it won’t reset or keeps tripping, that could mean there’s a wiring issue or moisture intrusion. Our electricians can inspect the outlet and surrounding circuits to find the problem and make sure everything is safe and up to code.
