Always On, Always Local

Denver's 24/7 Emergency AC Repair Team

A failed air conditioner on a 95-degree Denver afternoon isn’t just uncomfortable — for young kids, elderly family members, and pets, it can become dangerous within hours. Done Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric has been responding to exactly these situations for Denver metro homeowners since 1999. Our technicians are fully stocked, licensed, and available every hour of every day, including weekends and holidays. We don’t charge you more simply because the sun went down or the calendar says Sunday. When you call, a real person answers, and a qualified tech heads your way — not a voicemail box and a promise to call back Monday. If your AC has stopped cooling, don’t wait it out. One call and it’s done.

  • True 24/7 Response Technicians are dispatched day and night, including holidays — no after-hours surcharges, no waiting until morning.
  • Fully Licensed & Insured Every tech who arrives at your door is fully licensed and background-checked — never a subcontractor you've never met.
  • Fully Stocked Service Vehicles Our trucks carry the parts most commonly needed for same-visit repairs so we can fix the problem in one trip.

Signs You Need Emergency Service

Don't Wait on These AC Warning Signs

Some AC problems can wait for a scheduled tune-up. These can't. If you're seeing any of the following, call us now — heat-related health risks escalate quickly in Colorado summers.

  • No Cooling at All

Your system is running but the air coming out is warm, or the unit won't turn on at all. This is a full failure — call immediately.

  • Tripping Breakers

If your AC keeps tripping the circuit breaker, it's drawing more power than it should. Running it repeatedly risks damage to the unit and your electrical panel.

  • Active Water or Refrigerant Leaks

Pooling water near the air handler or an oily residue around refrigerant lines means something is wrong that won't fix itself — and can cause secondary damage fast.

  • Loud Banging or Grinding Sounds

Unusual noises from the compressor or air handler often signal a mechanical failure in progress. Shutting the system off and calling us now can prevent a much costlier replacement.

What We Repair

Emergency AC Repairs We Handle on the Spot

Our emergency technicians are trained and equipped to diagnose and repair the full range of cooling system failures — not just the easy ones.

  • Compressor & Refrigerant Issues We diagnose low refrigerant, refrigerant leaks, and compressor failures — the most common causes of a system that runs but won't cool.
  • Blower Motor & Fan Failures A failed indoor blower or outdoor condenser fan motor stops airflow entirely. We carry common motor replacements on the truck.
  • Capacitors & Electrical Components Start and run capacitors are among the most common emergency failures — they're inexpensive to replace and we stock them for most major brands.
  • Frozen Evaporator Coils A coil frozen solid shuts down cooling entirely. We identify the root cause — whether airflow restriction or refrigerant charge — and get you back up and running.

I have used Done! Plumping many and do not ever use anyone else this particular visit was as always top notch in every way. DJ did an amazing job of explaining what was wrong and all of my options. He then did a really good job of explaining the pros and cons of each option. He truly heard any and all concerns I had and helped me to work through those concerns. He then listened to my questions and answered every question in detail while at no point making me feel like they where silly or repetitive questions. Finally after my decision was made he did a great job of telling me what would happen and what to expect. Last of all DJ made sure to review the ways I could save money and still resolve my issues. And the end of the job he should what he had done and left me feeling like I had received a great value for my money.

Had a visit today from. Jay for ac issue. Jay was great very informational and helpful answer all my questions and made sure I understood everything.

I moved into a new home recently, and after I got back from a long trip found that my A/C wouldn't turn on. I called a different company first, and the technician who came out refused to go up into the attic! He diagnosed the problem from the ground floor and told me I'd need a new motor blower installed.

So after that I called Done Plumbing & Heating, and they had a tech out the same day to actually inspect my problem. Turns out it was just that a little door on the furnace hadn't been screwed on properly (probably during the home inspection?). Literally within 2 minutes of Jamey going up the ladder into the attic, the A/C was back on and working like a dream. He only charged me $40, when I was thinking I'd be lucky to get things running for $1000! What a relief!

It's really wonderful to work with a company that has integrity, and I'll be using Done Plumbing & Heating very soon again without hesitation. I should have called them first!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you really respond to AC emergencies at night and on weekends?

Yes — genuinely, not just on paper. Done has offered real 24/7 emergency service to Denver metro homeowners since 1999. When you call after hours, a live team member answers and dispatches a technician. We do not charge after-hours premiums on top of our standard rates.

How quickly can a technician arrive for an emergency AC call?

Arrival times depend on call volume and your location within the Denver metro, but we prioritize emergency calls and route the nearest available technician to you. We’ll give you an honest ETA when you call — not a four-hour window.

What if my AC can't be repaired the same night?

In most cases we can make the repair on the first visit because our trucks are stocked with common parts. If a specialized part needs to be ordered, we’ll tell you exactly what it is, when it arrives, and what the total cost will be — and we’ll schedule the follow-up repair as quickly as possible.

Should I turn my AC off while I wait for the technician?

If the unit is making loud grinding or banging sounds, or if you see ice forming on the lines, shut it off at the thermostat. Continuing to run a mechanically failing system can cause more expensive damage. If it’s simply not cooling but running quietly, it’s generally fine to leave it in place until we arrive.
