A standard residential EV charger installation includes evaluating your main electrical panel to confirm it has available capacity for a new 40–60 amp circuit (most Level 2 charger installations use a 50-amp breaker and 6-gauge wire), running the circuit from the panel to the charging location — typically the garage — and mounting and wiring the charger unit itself. We pull the necessary permit and the work is inspected, which protects your home and is required by most homeowner’s insurance policies and EV charger manufacturers for warranty validity.

If your panel doesn’t have capacity for the additional circuit, we’ll discuss options: a panel upgrade, a load management device that allows the charger to share capacity with other circuits, or in some cases a sub-panel addition.
